Phrases

Assignment: Go to the site (http://www.phrases.org.uk/ meanings/index.html). You will need to enter this directly into your address bar without any spaces. Search the etymology of common phrases and then post as your comment the phrase you have chosen. Then include an explanation of the history of the phrase in your own words so that a reader can understand. IMPORTANT: Once a phrase has been chosen and commented on by another student, it may not be used again.

Latin Root Question

Assignment: Your comment should reflect the answer to the question: What do you consider to be the most useful Latin root that you have learned thus far and how do your believe that your knowledge of Latin roots will be helpful to you in the future?

As your comment, state the chosen vocabulary word and use it correctly in a well-thought out sentence. IMPORTANT: Once a vocabulary word has been chosen, it may not be used again.

Instructions: Use the name origin site (http://www. name-meanings.com/). You will need to enter this directly into your search bar without spaces. Enter your name on this site and leave a comment here on the blog with your name, the meaning of your name, the gender of your name, and the origin.

Meaning: Harvester
Gender: Female
Origin: Spanish
